Madarihat, 09th August: A horrifying mishap surfaced on the Madarihat Asian Highway (AH) where a truck driver sustained significant injuries in a head-on collision between a cargo truck and a container bus.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the cargo truck, which was travelling towards Assam lost control and rammed into a dumper travelling to Birpara in front of a petrol pump on Madarihat AH on Wednesday morning. As a result, the driver of the truck sustained serious injuries. At present, the police are investigating the entire incident.
On the other hand, another accident took place on the Madarihat AH where a cargo truck travelling in the wrong direction lost control and overturned resulting in the truck driver and the conductor sustaining minor injuries.
