Rajganj, 20th June: A road accident in Rajganj’s Bandhunagar on Thursday afternoon left one person injured. The incident occurred on the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway when a scooty collided with a pickup van.
According to reports, a young man was crossing the road on his scooty when it collided with a pickup van coming from Siliguri. The impact caused the scooter driver to fall onto the road. Local residents quickly responded, rescuing the injured man and transporting him to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). The identity of the injured scooter driver is still unknown.
Meanwhile, the pickup van sped from the scene immediately after the collision. Ambari Outpost police arrived at the location upon receiving the news, recovered the scooty, and initiated an investigation into the incident.
