Rajganj, 21st November: An incident of mishap surfaced from the Gandar More area of Rajganj on the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway (NH), which resulted in the injury of a youth. The injured youth has been identified as is Deba Roy, a resident of Lakshmi Jamadar Gachh area of Binnaguri Gram Panchayat.
According to local sources, on Monday night, the youth was crossing the road on a two-wheeler in the said area, during which, it collided with a truck approaching from Jalpaiguri. Consequently, the young man fell on the road along with the bike. After the incident, the driver of the truck fled from the scene.
Meanwhile, the locals rushed to the rescue and transported the injured youth to a private hospital in Fulbari. Upon receiving the news, the cops of the Ambari outpost arrived at the spot, recovered both the vehicles, and took them to the police station. At present, the police are engaged in further investigation.
