Siliguri, 07th January: Based on a tip-off, the NJP Police arrested an individual with charas, a hashish form of cannabis. The arrested individual has been identified as Dilip Singh.
The NJP police received confidential information, on Monday night, regarding an individual who had arrived at Tinbatti More to sell charas weighing one and a half kgs. The youth is said to be from North Dinajpur’s Goalpokhar area. Based on this tip, the undercover NJP Police launched a campaign at the Tinbatti More and arrested Dilip Singh with charas.
The value of the seized charas has been estimated to be Rs 2 lakh. The accused has been presented at the Jalpaiguri court, today.
