Siliguri, 17th October: Matigara Police arrested a person named Md. Imtajul with 270 grams of brown sugar worth 70 lakh rupees, on Saturday night. One Lakh seventy thousand rupees cash was also recovered from his possession.
The arrested accused is a resident of the Shutki Hati area under Matigara police station. A specific case under the NDPS Act is being initiated against him.
He was produced at the Siliguri court today.
