Siliguri, 17th March: Cops of Pradhan Nagar police station arrested an accused with banned cough syrup in huge quantities. The accused has been identified as Naresh Sahni.
Reportedly, Naresh Sahni reached Champasari market last night to peddle the banned cough syrup. As soon as the news of the same was received, the undercover police of Pradhan Nagar police station nabbed Naresh Sahni red-handed. Police recovered a huge quantity of banned cough syrup from a school bag in his possession.
After this, today a case was registered against the accused under the NDPS Act and presented in the Siliguri court. After a hearing in the court, the judge directed to keep the accused Naresh Sahni on police remand for two days.
