Alipurduar, 21st February: Jaigaon police arrested a man with a firearm in Jaigaon, the border town between India and Bhutan, in the Alipurduar district.
According to the information, the Jaigaon police arrested Sahidullah Ansari with a 9mm pistol, a magazine and live ammunition while conducting an operation in the Jaigaon Torsa training area based on a tip-off.
According to a police source, Sahidullah Ansari was smuggling the pistol to Jaigaon with the motive to sell it. The accused was produced in Alipurduar court today.
