Kharibari, 24th September: A youth was arrested with 89 grams of brown sugar in Kharibari’s Panitanki. The arrested individual has been identified as Rajiv Valmiki, a resident of the Gatebazar area in Siliguri.
According to reports, following a tip-off, police conducted a raid in the Goursingh Jote overbridge area of Panitanki on Monday night, where they apprehended the suspect. During the raid, 89 grams of brown sugar, valued at approximately Rs 50,000, was recovered from his possession.
The arrested youth was presented in Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court on Tuesday. Police have initiated an investigation into the case.
