Siliguri, 19th September: In a significant breakthrough, the Special Operations Group (SOG) and undercover officers from Siliguri police station conducted a joint operation, leading to the arrest of an individual with a large quantity of banned cough syrup. The arrested person has been identified as Ramkrishna.
According to reports, Ramkrishna had arrived at PNT Lane in Ward No. 25 of Siliguri to smuggle the banned syrup. Acting on a tip-off, the SOG and undercover police officers carried out a raid, apprehending Ramkrishna on suspicion and searching his belongings.
During the search, 100 bottles of banned cough syrup were discovered in his bag. The market value of the seized syrup is estimated to be around 50,000-60,000 rupees. Ramkrishna is set to be presented in Siliguri court on Friday. Meanwhile, the police are continuing their investigation into the case.
