Siliguri, 19th July: In a significant breakthrough the police officials of the Medical Outpost have solved the mystery of theft and arrested a suspect from Patiram Jote, in Matigara, within 24 hours. The accused has been identified as Deepak Das, also known as Khepa.
According to police sources, a few days prior, a robbery had taken place in a residence located in the Kamal Jote neighborhood in the dead of the night. During the theft, the unidentified thief made off with an estimated 77 grams of gold jewellery. Subsequently, a formal written complaint was filed at the Medical Outpost. Following this, the police tracked down the accused and apprehended him last night from Patiram Jote while conducting an investigation based on the allegation.
Earlier today, the accused was produced before the Siliguri Court. Meanwhile, the police are engaged in further investigation of the entire incident.
