Siliguri, 05th June: A recent case of theft occurred at the Baikunthapur Primary School where the miscreant made off with several items. The Bhakti Nagar police arrested the accused criminal Gopal Mandal, a resident of Subhashpally, involved in the incident, and recovered the stolen items.
The incident came to light when the school reopened after a two-month summer vacation. Upon unlocking the school premises on Tuesday, the headmaster found out that several school items, including utensils, furniture, ceiling fans, and old books were missing.
Subsequently, the school authorities filed a complaint at the Bhakti Nagar police station. The law enforcement promptly initiated an investigation and arrested the accused thief. Following the arrest, police successfully recovered the stolen goods from the accused and the accused was presented before the Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday.
