Siliguri, 30th March: Pradhan Nagar police arrested Ganesh Prasad (29), a resident of Dagapur area, under the charge of stealing gas cylinders from a government school in Salbari. Apart from nabbing the accused, the police also recovered the stolen items.
According to police sources, on March 28, three gas cylinders used for cooking mid-day meals were stolen from a government high school at Salbari. Following this, a written complaint was lodged at Pradhan Nagar police station on behalf of the school management. The police launched operations and arrested Ganesh Prasad from Dagapur on March 29. The stolen gas cylinders were recovered from his possession. The accused has been produced in Siliguri court today.
