Siliguri, 14th March: ‘North Bengal Bird Festival’ will be organized in Siliguri on behalf of the Association for Conservation and Tourism and with the assistance of several organizations including the State Tourism Department.
According to the information, the festival will be held at a private shopping mall in Matigara from March 15 to March 20. The theme poster of the Bird Festival was inaugurated during a press conference held at Siliguri Journalists Club.
Raj Basu, the convener of the Association for Conservation and Tourism, said that the northern tourism industry is gaining another dimension surrounding birds. To that end, initiatives have been taken to conserve and propagate the birds.
