Siliguri, 09th October: The NJP police arrested two men on the charges of illegal coal smuggling. The arrested accused have been identified as Abdul Khaleq and Mohsin Ali, residents of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh respectively.
According to police sources, a few tonnes of illegal coal were seized earlier by the NJP police. Despite this, such activities continued to occur.
Upon receiving the news, the NJP police launched operations in Fulbari and detained two coal-laden vehicles. The arrested individuals were produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Friday.
