Siliguri, 29th August: Based on a tip-off, the NJP police launched operations at the Satellite Township area of Fulbari and recovered 300 intoxicating injections and 30 bottles of cough syrup. A person, identified as Sanjay Roy, was arrested in the incident.
According to police sources, they received a tip-off on Saturday night that a youth named Sanjay Roy from Balurghat was waiting in the Satellite Township area of Fulbari with intoxicants. Following which, the police launched operations at the said area and arrested him. Intoxicating injections and cough syrup were recovered from his possession.
He was sent to Jalpaiguri court on Sunday.
