Siliguri, 02nd December: The number of bike thefts is increasing across the city and several have already been arrested by the police. Besides, several stolen bikes have been recovered.
Once again, based on a tip-off, the NJP police launched operations at South Colony Mamata Para area on Tuesday and arrested a youth, identified as Govinda Sarkar, on the charge of motorcycle theft.
After questioning the accused, the police found out that he was involved in several cases of burglary. He was produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday.
