Siliguri, 02nd October: The NJP police arrested four miscreants red-handed while they were plotting a robbery. The accused have been identified as Shubhankar Saha and Bishwajit Paul, Saurav Debnath and Miraj Ali.
According to police sources, the four men had gathered in the Fulbari area on Friday night with the intention of dacoity. The undercover cops of NJP police station, acting on a tip-off, nabbed them before they could execute their plan. Several sharp weapons were recovered from their possession.
After interrogating the accused, the police came to know that the four had been involved in various criminal activities in the past too. All miscreants were produced in the Jalpaiguri court today.
