Siliguri, 08th November: Based on a tip-off, the NJP police, on Saturday night, launched operations at the Fulbari-Jotiyakali area and arrested four people along with sharp weapons. The arrested accused have been identified as Mohammad Rajabul, Rohit Roy, Shubhankar Karmakar, and Kunal Singh.
According to police sources, several miscreants had gathered at a petrol pump or a warehouse on Saturday night for the purpose of robbery. While the police successfully got hold of four men, the others managed to escape the scene.
A pickup van and sharp weapons were recovered in the incident. They were produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Sunday.
