Siliguri, 27th January: Based on a tip-off, the NJP police launched operations at Fulbari and arrested a Bangladeshi national Chanchal Das. He is a resident of the Sherpur police station area.
According to police sources, Das illegally entered India through the Jagannathpur area of Bangladesh’s Bogra district. He had been residing in the Fulbari area for the last three to four months. He even made an attempt to create his false voter card and Aadhaar card.
The arrested accused was sent to Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday. Police are investigating the incident.
