NJP land port conflict: Jalpaiguri District and Sessions Court directed 14-day jail custody for the six arrested

Jalpaiguri, 05th February: The Jalpaiguri District and Sessions Court directed 14-day jail custody for the six arrested individuals in connection with the vandalism at NJP land port. They will be produced at the court on February 19. They were taken to the court’s Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court on Friday. Additional Judge Mohammad Jafar Parvez directed the police to submit the case diary to the court.


Advocate Sandeep Dutta said that the judge dismissed the bail appeal. Public Prosecutor Prasunda Kumar Roy said that the arrested individuals have been accused of attacking security personnel and labourers at the NJP land port. The judge ordered 14 days of jail custody.
