NJP GRP recovers 25 stolen and lost mobile phones, returns them to owners

NJP, 15th February: In a significant initiative, the NJP GRP team recovered a total of 25 stolen and lost mobile phones from railway stations and, following legal procedures, returned them to their rightful owners. The move brought smiles to the faces of passengers whose phones had been lost or stolen during their journeys.


As part of the initiative, NJP GRP organized a special awareness campaign to educate passengers about safeguarding mobile phones, purses, bags, and other valuable items while traveling by train. Passengers were urged to remain vigilant, report any suspicious activities to the police immediately, and contact the GRP helpline in case of any issues.

GRP officials stated that security measures and patrolling on trains and at railway stations would be further strengthened.


The program was attended by SRP Kunwar Bhushan Singh, GRP SOG OC Atreya Ganguly, NJP IC Pashang Sherpa, GRP ASI Saiful Alam, and other officers.
