Siliguri, 23rd October: The recent heavy rainfall triggered massive landslips across the hills leaving a trail of disaster. In view of this, the West Bengal Chief Minister will be visiting North Bengal to take stock of the situation. Speaking in this context, the Union Minister of State for Home Nisith Pramanik appreciated the CM’s initiative. Addressing the media after landing at Bagdogra airport today, Pramanik stated that everyone should stand by the common people at times of need.
However, taking a jibe at the state ruling party, Pramanik strongly criticized the incident where the upcoming Dinhata by-election BJP candidate Ashok Mandal was stopped from campaigning. He accused the TMC of winning the elections by intimidating the people.
“Like in Bhabanipur by-election, the Trinamool Congress is trying to intimidate the common people in Dinhata. But the people of Dinhata have not been fooled. They will definitely vote BJP and our candidate Ashok Mandal will win by a huge margin,” the Union Minister added.
