Siliguri, 12th October: The Railway Union All India Railway Men’s Federation has called for a nationwide agitation for many demands including restoration of the old pension system, and outstanding DA during the time of the pandemic.
Today, apart from various states, members of the NF Railway Mazdoor Union NJP branch in Siliguri also joined and participated in a half-day hunger strike. During this time they raised many demands. In this regard, the Union’s branch secretary Soumyadeep Karmakar said that this movement is not only against the cancellation of the pension scheme or DA but also against all anti-labor activities.
He further said that they will launch further agitation of massive hunger strikes if their demands are not met.
