Siliguri, 03rd February: The newly constructed ICAI Bhawan of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) was inaugurated in Siliguri on Tuesday. The inauguration ceremony was held at Kawakhali New Township, marking an important development for the chartered accountancy profession in North Bengal.
The event was attended by ICAI President CA Charanjot Singh Nanda, members of the central council, senior officials, and chartered accountants from various parts of the country.
The new ICAI Bhawan is expected to provide modern facilities for students and practising chartered accountants in North Bengal, helping enhance professional skills and contribute to the country’s economic growth. The inauguration is being viewed as the beginning of a new phase in the expansion and professional development of chartered accountants in Siliguri and the region.
Addressing the gathering, the ICAI President said the new building of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India will help create a strong professional infrastructure for chartered accountants in North Bengal and adjoining areas. He added that the ICAI Bhawan will play a key role in organising training programmes, seminars, workshops and other professional activities.
