Siliguri, 09th September: Sensation prevailed in the area of Porajhar after the body of a newborn girl was recovered from the banks of Mahananda River adjacent to Naukaghat in Siliguri. The body of the said infant was discovered in the morning by a labourer.
After this, the incident was informed to the police. On receiving the news, the NJP police reached the spot and recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.
