Siliguri, 29th December: Exciting news awaits tourists as Bengal Safari Park in Siliguri is set to bring several new animal arrivals in the coming year, which are expected to become major attractions.
The safari park introduces new surprises for visitors every year. Last year, it saw the arrival of lions, langurs, and spectacled monkeys, among other wildlife. This year is no different, with elephants, giraffes, and several other animals expected to join the park in 2026.
Park authorities confirmed that following the successful breeding of tigers and lions, the wildlife division is confident about the park’s capacity to accommodate new animals. Currently, the Royal Bengal tiger population has risen to 14, while there are five lions. The park is also planning to allow lions to roam in safaris for tourists in the new year.
The Director of Bengal Safari Park stated that new arrivals, including elephants and giraffes, will soon be introduced to enhance tourist attractions. Additionally, an elephant safari will be launched shortly to further enrich the visitor experience.
