NBSTC announces several initiatives, including ‘Ladies Special Bus’ service, ahead of Durga Puja

Siliguri, 12th September: In a major initiative, the North Bengal State Transport Corporation (NBSTC) has announced the launch of a ‘Ladies Special Bus’ service for women ahead of Durga Puja. The announcement was made by NBSTC Chairman Partha Pratim Roy following a board meeting held at the Siliguri State Guest House on Thursday.


During the meeting, Roy outlined several initiatives aimed at improving the experience for bus passengers. In addition to the ‘Ladies Special Bus’ service, NBSTC has installed CCTV cameras on buses to enhance surveillance and ensure passenger safety.

Roy also emphasized the corporation’s focus on promoting CNG and electric bus services. Looking to the future, he mentioned plans to introduce cross-border bus services with Bhutan and Bangladesh, expanding connectivity.
