Siliguri, 09th January: Namo Yuva Warriors on Friday took out a protest march in Siliguri, alleging that the state government was creating obstacles in the functioning of the Central government.
According to sources, the march began from Hashmi Chowk and moved through various routes of the city. Participants expressed strong resentment against the state government during the procession.
The organisation alleged that the manner in which the Chief Minister allegedly created obstacles in official Central government work a day earlier was undemocratic. They claimed that by obstructing Central government work, the state government was acting against the interests of the general public.
Namo Yuva Warriors’ Siliguri convener Saurav Sarkar said that the protest was organised in response to the alleged obstruction of a Central government official work. He added that it was difficult to understand how such obstruction could take place within the constitutional framework.
He further said that due to such actions, development activities were coming to a halt and common people were suffering. He warned that if similar obstructions continue in the future, the organisation would launch a larger movement.
