Siliguri, 12th May: Panic gripped the businessmen and locals of the area after a “mysterious can” was discovered today placed in a corner of Subhas Pally market of Siliguri.
Upon receiving the news, Councilor Mousumi Hazra reached the spot after which police were informed regarding the matter. Police reached the spot without delay and initiated a preliminary investigation. As the officials suspected the can to be filled with poisonous chemicals, it was taken to the police station for further investigation.
Speaking in this regard, Mousumi Hazra, while expressing concerns regarding the safety of the market questioned the source of the can being placed inside the market.
