As the second wave of COVID-19 continues to rage all across the country, Darjeeling MP Raju Bista, urged everyone from the region to wear masks, remain vigilant, follow social distancing norms and other COVID protocols.
Bista assured everyone that the Union Government has been working towards strengthening healthcare facilities and infrastructure across the country.
The MP further urged everyone, especially the youths to step forward and help people in their respective villages to register for vaccination in the given link www.cowin.gov.in.
MP Bista further maintained that the government has initiated the installation of Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Medical Oxygen Generation Plants in 551 district hospitals across the country to make the hospitals ‘Aatmanirbhar’ in Oxygen supplies. “I have requested Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi to include Darjeeling, Kalimpong, and Siliguri in the list of hospitals where these PSA Plants will be installed,” he added.
He further claimed that he has requested the Ministry of Railways to deploy COVID Isolation coaches for Darjeeling districts and he is working towards coordinating support to COVID patients and their families and relief to those in need.
Darjeeling MP urged people to not be scared and follow COVID protocols. He promised that the government is working for ensuring better health care for every individual.
