Darjeeling, 09th June: The office of BJP’s Member of Parliament (MP) from Darjeeling, Raju Bista, through a press release on the 9th of June 2023, announced 9 major projects of rural road upgradation approved by the Central government. The approved projects include 33 roads for Kalimpong District.
Additionally, the MP announced that similar projects have been approved for the Darjeeling Hill areas covering 12 major roads. With regard to the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad, it stated that it will be finalized within the next few days.
Notably, the Central Government has approved 213km of rural roads for the development of the Darjeeling and Kalimpong hill region.
