Siliguri, 04th February: In concern to the Siliguri’s dumping ground, Jalpaiguri MP Jayanta Roy held talks with the Central leaders. Simultaneously, the Bharatiya Janata Party Councillors submitted a memorandum to the Mayor seeking the intervention of the Municipal Corporation.
On Tuesday, the BJP activists, including two Councillors of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, held a long discussion with Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya.
Councillor Khushboo Mittal stated that the Jalpaiguri MP is concerned about the dumping ground in Siliguri. She further stated that Roy has held talks with the Central leaders and the Mayor, in this context. MP Jayanta Roy stated that a letter has been sent to the Central leaders, in this regard. The Mayor has asked for a copy of the letter sent, to which, Jayanta Roy stated that the Mayor will be given a copy.
