Rajgnaj, 28th May: A tragic road accident surfaced from an area adjacent to Belakoba College Para near Rajgnaj Polytechnic College, where two individuals were severely injured.
Reportedly, an individual identified as Biplab Majumdar, a resident of Station Colony, was going towards Rajganj Polytechnic College from College More at around 10 pm, when a speeding bike (two-wheeler), on its way towards Belakoba from Fatapukur, crashed into Biplab Majumdar. Following the accident, both Biplab and the other bike rider were seriously injured.
Subsequently, the locals rescued the injured and took them to Belakoba Rural Hospital. However, as their conditions became critical, Biplab Majumdar was referred to Jalpaiguri Super Specialty Hospital, and the bike rider was taken to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. Meanwhile, upon being informed, police of the Belakoba outpost reached the hospital. At present, the matter is under police investigation.
