Rajganj, 24th December: Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (I/C) Prahlad Singh Patel met the family members of the late BJP activist Ulen Roy, on Thursday.
This morning, the minister visited the house of the Roy at Mantadari in Rajganj and assured them to stay by their side in the coming days. He was accompanied by Jalpaiguri district BJP MP Dr Jayant Kumar Roy, BJP district president Bapi Goswami and other block leaders.
The minister said that even though BJP activist Ulen Roy was shot dead by police during the Uttarkanya campaign, the family’s bravery is to be commended. He assured that the party will give their optimum level to provide justice to the family.
He further alleged that there is no such thing as law and democracy in West Bengal. Assembly elections are four months away, following which he is hopeful that BJP will come to power and rule of law will prevail.
