Rajganj, 18th August: Union Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs Nishith Pramanik visited the residence of late BJP activist Ulen Roy in Rajganj and interacted with his family members, on Wednesday. He handed over a memento of Shahid Samman Yatra as well as a cheque of one lakh rupees to them.
In this regard, Nishith Pramanik said, “We will never forget the self-sacrifice of Ulen Roy. During the Uttarkanya Abhiyan on December 6, I saw Roy die in front of my eyes after being shot by the police. We will never forget that incident. We ensure to secure the future of his children and family members.”
Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh, Dabgram Fulbari MLA Shikha Chatterjee, Matigara Naxalbari assembly MLA Anandamoy Barman, and several other party leaders were present at the programme.
