Siliguri, 25th March: Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate Goutam Deb from Dabgram-Fulbari assembly constituency, campaigned in Harijan Basti under Ward No.35 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation, on Thursday. He assured the residents of the said ward to solve their problems while interacting with them. After this, he visited the houses in the Chota Fafri area.
The TMC candidate stated that, due to the anti-people policy of the central government, people of the Harijan community are deprived of land leases. He promised, after the election, arrangements will be made to provide the lease to them.
Apart from this, he claimed to stage protests in favour of the temporary railway workers, who lost jobs during the pandemic.
