Siliguri, 21st September: State Panchayat Minister Dilip Ghosh spoke on several political issues during his morning walk at Siliguri College ground on Monday. He interacted with morning walkers, listened to their concerns and made inquiries about various matters. Later, the minister had tea at a tea stall near the ground.
Asked about the vandalism at a CPI(M) party office in Jadavpur and the office of a former Trinamool Congress MLA, Ghosh said the BJP is currently busy working for the people. “Those who have no work are doing these things. We do not have that much time,” he said.
Targeting Humayun Kabir, Ghosh said, “I have seen many such threats. He had said that he would build the Babri Masjid. Money was also collected. But that mosque was never built. The people there should understand the matter.”
Ghosh also commented on the political position of the Opposition. He said people had given the Opposition space in many places, but the Opposition itself has been unable to retain that space. He added that neither the common people nor the BJP is responsible for this.
