Siliguri, 15th June: Three men charged with robbery have been arrested by the police. The arrested accused have been identified as Raju Chaki, Sushanta Kumar Roy, and Swapan Banik.
As per the information, a man identified as Shukdeb Mandal was traveling in his car on Sunday night, during which three youths who were loitering in the Milan Pally Canal road near Gajoldoba allegedly stopped his car and pleaded for help. As soon as Mandal stopped the car, the three youths allegedly attacked him and vandalized his vehicle. They looted him and fled away from the scene.
Following the incident, a complaint was lodged at the Milan Pally Outpost. Based on the complaint, the police launched an investigation and arrested the three accused. Later, they were sent to the NJP police station.
The arrested accused individuals were produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Monday.
