Rajganj, 02nd January: Mercury dips with the beginning of the new year resulting in freezing cold in various districts of North Bengal.
Reportedly, on Tuesday morning, a thick blanket of fog engulfed the region. Consequently, vehicles including lorries, buses, and motorbike riders were seen travelling with headlights on. In addition, the general public were spotted sitting near the bonfire in the absence of sunlight since morning. However, as the day progressed a sigh of relief was brought in by the soothing sun.
