Kurseong, 18th May: Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) Kurseong Branch Committee issued a memorandum to Kurseong Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) against the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) election.
Bhupen Gurung, a member of GNLF Kurseong Branch Committee alleged that GTA is an unconstitutional provision and that the state government is trying to forcefully implement it in the hills again. He also added that GTA has failed to fulfil the aspirations and dreams of the Gorkha people. Hence, opposing its implementation, the team submitted a memorandum to the SDO.
