Naxalbari, 07th January: Meetings are being organized at several places by the Naxalbari, CPI (M) in support of the strike called by the Central Trade Union on January 8. Meanwhile, a rally will also be staged, today. The rally will be staged from Naxalbari’s Ranjit More to Panighata More.
Gautam Ghosh from the CPI (M) District Committee, Area Committee member Raju Sarkar, Vikas Chakravarti, and other activists, in large numbers, were present in the meeting which was held last night. Raju Sarkar stated that a strike has been called in support of 12-point demands. The 12-point demands include opposition to privatization of various organizations, minimum wages, equal pay for equal work, opposition to NRC, CAA, and NPR, and many such issues.
