Siliguri, 07th March: On the occasion of the 155th birth anniversary of Thakur Panchanan Barma, a meeting and a cultural program were organized at the Shailendra Kumar Mancha in Champasari on behalf of the Thakur Panchanan Memorial Champasari Branch and the 155th Birth Anniversary Committee of Roy Saheb Thakur Panchanan Barma, on Saturday. A procession was staged from Champasari’s Sri Guru Vidya Mandir which toured the various routes of the city.
Meanwhile, Mahendra Nath Roy, a professor at North Bengal University, was present as the chief speaker during the program. The members of the Thakur Panchanan Memorial Champasari Branch and the 155th Birth Anniversary Committee of Roy Saheb Thakur Panchanan Barma were also present.
