Siliguri, 04th November: Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb took stock of all the Chhat Ghats in the city ahead of Chhath Puja.
On Saturday, the Mayor arrived at Siliguri’s Dakshin Shantinagar in Ward No. 36 and Chhath Ghat of Shramik Nagar in Ward No. 24 to inspect the arrangements. Mayor Goutam Deb was accompanied by Chairman Pratul Chakraborty, Councillor Ranjan Sil Sharma, Member of Mayor-in-Council (MMIC) Manik Dey, and other authorities.
In this regard, Mayor Goutam Deb highlighted ward number 36 councillor Ranjan Sil Sharma’s initiative to organize Chhath Puja in the area. He further expressed that efforts have been undertaken for a peaceful and organized Chhath Puja.
