Siliguri, 01st May: The Mayor of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, Goutam Deb, launched a new program called ‘Manusher Kache Chalo’ today to improve the relationship between citizens and the administration. The program will involve the Mayor visiting all 47 wards of SMC.
As part of the initiative, the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor, and the Ward Councilor visited Ward No. 2 this morning and surveyed the entire area. They also listened to citizens’ grievances and promised to address them. Goutam Deb stated that the program would take 10 months to cover all wards of SMC.
It should be noted that the Mayor’s “Talk to Mayor” initiative has been providing good support to citizens from the administration.
