Fulbari, 04th December: Siliguri Municipal Corporation Mayor Gautam Deb visited Fulbari on Thursday to review the progress of work under the Amrut 2.0 project. He was accompanied by Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, MMIC Dulal Dutta, and a team of municipal engineers.
During the inspection, the Mayor reviewed the jack-pushing work of a 1200 mm diameter MS carrier pipe at the Murder More area near the Fulbari Asian Highway crossing. The alignment of the underground pipeline, the use of trenchless technology, safety arrangements, and the entire pipe-pushing process were closely examined on site.
After the inspection, Mayor Gautam Deb stated that both Phase-I and Phase-II of the Amrut 2.0 project are progressing at a fast pace, and the visit was conducted to ensure there is no delay or technical lapse in any part of the work.
Along with the jack-pushing work, the designated site for the proposed new Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Fulbari was also inspected.
