Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya inspects Green City Mission’s work in Siliguri

Siliguri, 19th March: Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya inspected the works being conducted by the Green City Mission in Siliguri. Visual improvements will be made from Ward No 32 to Ward No 42 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation. The Central Government will bear the cost of the entire work conducted by the Green City Mission. 


The Mayor reached Parvati Ghat under Ward No 45 to inspect the work, on Thursday. He, then, went to Siliguri’s Surya Sen Park, where a Navjagran Mancha is being constructed. Statues of Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Rabindranath Tagore, and Michael Madhusudan Dutt will be installed on the Navjagran Mancha. 

Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya stated that work has commenced under various projects in Siliguri including the two Green City Mission projects. A total amount of Rs. 13 crores will be spent on the work, which will be completed soon.
