Jalpaiguri, 28th June: Maynaguri Police arrested three drug peddlers along with Yaba tablets worth lakhs of rupees. The arrested accused have been identified as Biplab Hussain Ali, Azidul Miyan and Hazrat Miyan. All three are residents of Cooch Behar.
Reportedly, on Monday morning, Maynaguri police received a tip-off concerning a substantial amount of drugs that were being smuggled from Cooch Behar to Maynaguri. Accordingly, the police carried out Naka checking at Cooch Behar and Maynaguri border areas under the leadership of IC of Maynaguri police station Bhushan Chettri.
During the campaign, three youths were detained. Later, police recovered a huge quantity of yaba tablets from their possession. The arrested individuals were produced at the Jalpaiguri district court today.
