Siliguri, 14th November: A massive fire destroyed three shops on S.F. Road in Siliguri late on Wednesday night, causing a significant stir in the area.
According to local sources, the blaze began around 2 a.m. following a loud explosion, with flames seen rising from one of the shops. Residents believe the fire started at a biryani shop after a gas cylinder explosion.
Three fire engines arrived promptly at the scene and, after several hours of effort, managed to bring the fire under control. In addition to the biryani shop, a furniture shop and another establishment were reduced to ashes.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or casualties. The fire department has launched an investigation into the cause of the incident.
