Naxalbari, 25th May: On Saturday, Martyr’s Day of historical ‘Naxalbari Movement’ was celebrated by paying tribute to Shaheed Bedi in Bengai Jote of Naxalbari, Kharibari, and Phansidewa.
According to the reports, the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (CPIML) organization observed the day by paying floral tributes to the Shaheed Bedi. It is to be noted that, on 25th May, 1967, 11 people were killed in police firing in Naxalbari. Martyrs’ Day is celebrated every year to pay tribute to the martyrs.
