Rajganj, 05th November: Sensation prevailed after the body of an individual was recovered from a well near a tea garden in the Borobhita area under Majhiali Gram Panchayat of Rajganj block. The deceased has been identified as Lakizuddin Ahmed, a local of the said area.
According to family sources, Lakizuddin was mentally challenged for a long time. On Saturday night, the inmates of the house went to sleep after having dinner. Following this, Lakizuddin went out of the residence at night, during which, he might have fallen into the well located near a tea garden.
Subsequently, the matter was informed to Rajganj police. Upon receiving the news, the police arrived at the spot, recovered the deceased body, and sent it to Jalpaiguri for a post-mortem examination. At present, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire incident.
